Wakonda’ is an all-glass fibre construction, round bilge, cast iron winged keeled, sailing yacht built in 1995.
She has a fine entry and a counter stern, carrying her maximum beam aft of amidships.

The layout offers up to seven berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. There is good ventilation, plentiful stowage and full standing headroom throughout.
Double doors lead into the forecabin where there is a generous double V berth with stowage under.

Construction

The vessel has a hull of GRP that is stiffened by internal moldings, also of GRP, plywood bulkheads, semi-bulkheads, bonded-in locker dividers, glassed-in foam stringers and a matrix of GRP floor molding and keel bolt support beams.
The hull’s GRP construction utilises a lay-up of polyester resin, mixed-strand glass-fibre matting and woven rovings finished with pigmented gelcoat.
The thickness of the hull increases around the keel areas.
The hull is further stiffened by a core sandwich construction.
Deck fittings are reinforced by plywood pads.
The topsides are finished with white-pigmented gelcoat.

Yanmar 3GM30, 27hp, three-cylinder fresh water-cooled marine diesel engine.

The engine is cosmetically in very good condition and shows no sign of leaking oil or coolant. 4 x new engine mounts fitted 2018
